About
As part of our mission to empower and support artists, we are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural edition of the HomeCourt Artist's Residency Program. This community-driven initiative plays an important role in helping and uplifting the next generation of visionary creatives. By partnering with highly accomplished professionals, we’re able to give artists the mentorship they need to grow and build a successful career. We are thrilled to join forces with the multi-dimensional artist, creator, director, and visual thinker William Ukoh, who will serve as lead mentor. We are also joined by a dynamic advisory board featuring; Ashley Mckenzie-Barnes, Brian Rideout, and Nuria Madrenas who will help support the accepted applicant in their specific streams.
Over three months, the selected resident will receive:
Six hours of space access each month, to use for art making, events and panel discussions, research, meetings, and/or exhibitions. (Space must be booked in advance and is subject to availability)
Monthly peer-to-peer mentorship sessions and workshops with William Ukoh and the advisory board members
Access to up to three hours of professional consulting services from Mint, based on the needs of the resident
Potential for an exhibition or event in the HomeCourt space towards the end of the residency term
For the first residency, we encourage artists who are keen on honing their photography skills to seize this opportunity and apply. Come nurture your creativity with HomeCourt.
